The Canadian Peace Alliance is proud to present Cindy Sheehan in a three city tour. Cindy will be speaking in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver from the 3rd to the 6th of May, 2006.
Cindy Sheehan is a founding member of Gold Star Families for Peace and a leading figure of the anti-war movement in the United States. A military mother whose son, Specialist Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq in April 2004, Cindy struck a chord with millions of Americans when she camped outside George Bush's Texas ranch in 2005 demanding to know the truth about why Bush took the US to war. Cindy has since spoken to audiences around the world about her quest for peace and justice and to bring US troops home from Iraq. Cindy will be joined by military mom and Gold Star Family member Michelle De Ford whose son, Sgt. David Johnson, was killed in Iraq in September 2004.
The events are co-sponsored by the Toronto Coalition to Stop the War, Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, the University of Toronto Students Administrative council, Stopwar.ca Vancouver, The War Resisters Support Campaign, Nowar-paix Ottawa and many more!
